GM Update: March 2023
Talofa Lava,
We hope that you are all well, and that you are getting ready for the upcoming Easter break, it feels like only yesterday it was Christmas.
It is that time again, where we share some of the “happenings” here at Taumeasina Island Resort since our last update.
Recently we celebrated the Emperor of Japan’s Birthday, with a large delegation from the Japanese Embassy here in Samoa attending Taumeasina Island Resort for the celebrations. The event was attended by Samoa’s Head of State, Deputy Head of State, Acting Prime Minister, Speaker of the House, and several other important figures of Samoan leadership. The event was well received, with many guests commenting on the amazing sushi provided at the event. It was a good opportunity to reflect on the long and close relationship shared between Samoa and Japan.
We finally had the opportunity to give a little back to our staff and management, with a staff “FUN” night. All managers and staff dined on a Chef Selection buffet, and individual departments performed short skits throughout the evening, with the best awarded WST500. You can check out some of the fun moments by clicking on the links in this email.
On the same night, we announced the overall best Supervisor and Manager for 2022. I would like to thank and congratulate the Executive Assistant Manager Cassandra Filipo who won overall best manager for 2022, and Saaloto Leaso who won overall best supervisor for 2022. A huge congratulations to both employees for their continued efforts and contributions.
Wedding season is in full swing, and we have been delighted to share in the ceremonies of those who chose to have their special day here at Taumeasina Island Resort. We have put together an all-new wedding package to accommodate those looking to celebrate their union in paradise. To access this wedding package, click on the link in this email.
That’s all for our quick update for now. Look out for our next email where we will release a new special for travel over Samoa’s 61st Independence Celebration.
Bless you all and Manuia lou aso.
